This Song Really caught my heart

At worship at my work at UTS, this song was sang and I loved the words.

There is a desire to incorporate art and Spiritual Direction and I'm being gently

nudged by the Lord in this direction. I have recently been introduced to Ellel Ministries and there is a book that minister to me deeply. Healing through Creativity by Fiona Horrobin.

The song spoke to the arts side of me and I long to one day experience their ministry in person at their UK location or in Canada.

These are some of my thoughts or things I have been reading that are birthing the vision.

Creativity as a means of healing of the crushed dreams

A focus that looks on creativity to Awakening the Creative Spirit

The desire/dream/vision to go Ellel Ministries in the UK? I have been reading a book recently and it has been a good learning experience going through Fiona Horrobin’s book Healing through Creativity. She and her husband started the ministry 28 years ago?

“When we give God space and time, He can move by His Spirit to do marvelous things setting us free from unseen bondages, often buried beyond our own ability to reach.” pg111 Horrobin

Creativity A.R.T.

A Restorative Touch

God’s restorative touch

Rest in God

Allow God in through rest

Sabbath is about stopping

Long enough to rest in God

Speak out the truth

Orative expressing thanks, giving words of gratitude,

Giving Expression of the areas that need the healing touch.

God is the creator and has many creative ways to cause the healing and restorative touch to take place in people’s lives.

Creative - Co-Creative

Created to create

Crushed dreams restored through creative expression

I have a special ministry, there is a stirring, a gentle nudge of the Spirit.

To experience the journey of pilgrimage (creativity) presence and spirit.

Reconnect to creation the inspiration for creativity, to delight in beauty we see and stand in awe of the work of the master artist - God.

To delight in the beauty and the goodness of creator God and pause and listen, smell, taste, touch, and see and experience all the senses unite with God, with the creator and creativity.

View the world through the lense of a maker/creator

We are making and creating being co-laborers with God

“I have always thought of artists as change makers and paradigm shifters.” Pgxvi. The Art of Aliveness by Flora Bowley

The ritual of starting and ending the day with prayer. Of starting and ending conversation, work, art, writing with prayer. It sounds basic and fundamental but is it a common practice. It is forgotten and we just jump into our day pressing on a head down, push on and crash into bed. The. The cycle starts all over again, there is a need to acknowledge there is a God, a sacred one with us, above us, and has knowledge and insight that can be received if only recognized. We are nothing without the God of the Universe's insight and leading. We are spiritual beings and have to act like this and enter the needed sacred ritual of life.

Sacred Arts - learn from their practices. I believe that all counterfeit is based of the authentic the real/truth given by God.

Inspiration is being in spirit - being led by the Holy Spirit.

In the book Punk Monk author Andy Freeman writes this about creative arts: The arts and creativity are a great gift that God has given to humankind. We live in a world where music can lift the soul, where stories can ignite the imagination. Medical studies have shown the benefits of laughter. Painting and photography can deepen our appreciation of light, colour and detail. God has inspired artists to give us representations of historical events. He has gifted scientists to discover incredible media that allow us to see our world like never before. We even live in an age where the arts can help those who struggle with learning difficulties, through art and music therapy. Pages 139-140 Punk Monk author Andy Freeman.
